Fish Show
Fish Show registration is closed.
Show Summary
- The entry fee per each fish will be $3.00.
- Fish must be registered by Oct. 14th. There will be no walk-in fish registration.
- The Aquafest 2009 will provide tanks (2.5g, 5.5g, 10g, and a limited number of 20g tanks), air line tubing, air valves, and preconditioned water.
- Show participants are only required to bring their show entries.
- Tanks over 30 inches are prohibited. Contact the show chairman to make arrangements for additional tank space.
- All entries must be set up in tanks by no later than 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 17. Entries may not be removed until after the Banquet. All entries must be removed by midnight Saturday.
- There will be certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class. A medal and certificate will be awarded for Best of Class and a plaque for Best of Show.
- The Show Room will be open the following hours for bringing in your fish:
- Friday 7:00pm - 10:00pm
- Saturday 7:00am - 12:00 noon
Fish Show Rules
- Fish may be placed in the Show room tanks beginning Friday from 7:00pm until 10:00pm, and Saturday from 7:00am until 12:00 noon. Any fish not placed in a tank by 12:00 noon Saturday will not be allowed to be entered in the Show.
- Fish may not be removed until after the Saturday Banquet. All fish must be removed by 12:00 midnight Saturday.
- The entry fee per each fish will be $3.00. Fish must be registered by Oct. 14. All entry fees should accompany the Show Registration Form.
- There is no limit to the number of fish entered in the Show.
- Fish may be registered for the Show (by Wednesday, October 14), by electronic means (email and Paypal), conventional mail (postmarked by October 9). Fish entries will not be accepted at the door.
- No mail-in entries of fish will be accepted.
- Fish must be properly registered on the Show Registration Form and identified as best as possible as to scientific name, common name if one, and sex if known or can be determined. For Loricariiad catfish, the L-names are acceptable if scientific names have not been applied.
- Help will be available at the Show to identify and label your fish if needed. The Show Committee and/or judges as required may reclassify fish improperly registered within a Class without informing the registrant.
- Only one (1) fish per show tank will be allowed.
- No plants, decorations, background, or individual lighting will be allowed. All tanks will be made as equal as possible. If your species requires a heater, it will be allowed; however, you must provide the heater and any needed extension cords.
